Kuby Energy was born out of a shared vision between two friends who decided to leave their careers in the mining and oil & gas industries to champion a cleaner, more sustainable future for Alberta, BC, and Canada.
Understanding the critical role that oil and gas have historically played—and will continue to play—in our region, we are committed to making the transition to renewable energy both practical and beneficial. We believe that moving towards a society powered by wind and solar energy should not only reduce environmental impact but also create meaningful jobs, drive positive social change, and offer economic benefits for homeowners, businesses, and the broader community.
From our humble beginnings, we have grown into one of the leading solar power installers in Western Canada. We have successfully completed thousands of residential and commercial solar projects across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories.

Kuby Renewable Energy was founded, marking the beginning of our journey in advancing renewable energy solutions.
Kuby energy completed the largest rooftop project in Alberta (at the time). The project spanned 7 buildings, including several learning arrays for students and a building integrated PV (BIPV) system.
Kuby was extremely proud to be a part of the iconic ECC building in Edmonton replacing its aging roof with BIPV solar glass.
Kuby opened its Kamloops office to service interior BC
Our Calgary office was opened, followed by the completion of our 1000th project, demonstrating our continued growth and success.
Kuby become a permit to practice engineering holder with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientiss (APEGA). Kuby has since received a permit to practice engineering with EGBC.

We are proud members of the Solar Energy Society of Alberta and BC Sustainable Energy Association, and one of only a select few solar installation contractors that are engineering permit holders with APEGA and EGBC. We ensure that every project is executed by certified electricians who meet or go beyond the standards set by the Canadian Electrical Code and National Building Code
